Cruinniú an Gael (Irish Gaelic Meeting)

  • November 17, 2012 · 4:00 PM

Gaeltacht San Antonio is throwing open its doors once again. We want to increase our proficiency in Irish, but we will also meet to discuss why it matters and how we can organize to make Gaelic culture visible in our community.

The lesson portion will include saying hello and goodbye, counting from 1-10, colors, foods and how to say you like them.

Feel free to study ahead.

The history portion will consist of (in English) a discussion about the reasons for the decline of Gaelic and its presence in Ireland today.

Finally, the conversation portion will be where we practice what we've learned in the lesson with other students.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
