Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

A lady in church taught me and other girls to knit and to crochet. Been doing both, plus embroidery, for about 45 years.

What's your favorite fiber?

Hard to choose; cotton I think.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Doesn't matter, because when I ran out of yarn I'd pull it all out and start over again.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

Lifelong PASSION, along with quilting, embroidery, and most any other needlework you can think of.

Introduction

I've knitted and crocheted since I was about 10 yrs old, and all kinds of needlework has been a big part of my life forever.
