Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

College friend taught me to crochet in 2009, been going ever since. Picked up Continental knitting in 2014, Spinning later that summer, I can't stop the fiber obsession.

What's your favorite fiber?

Alpaca. Bamboo, linen, and other plant fibers.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

First, a giant brightly-colored flag or beach-letters to signal for help. Then occupy my time until rescue with wrist warmers/fingerless gloves, socks, and sweaters.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

It was on/off through college. Now it seems to be on all the time.

Moved here July '13. 8 years crocheting, 1+ year knitting, new to spinning as well. I can't stop!
