Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

One of my friends in the last year of High School introduced me to crochet, and I've been fiddling with it for about 10 years now.

What's your favorite fiber?

Something soft and a little fuzzy. A nice wool, bamboo sometimes, it mostly depends on what I plan on making.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

A hammock that could double as a fishing net. or maybe 2....

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

A lifelong fancy. I go through stages of doing a lot and then go onto another craft for a bit. However I always come back.

Introduction

Hello. I am newish to the Austin area and looking for a place to be inspired to crochet and to chat. It would be a pleasure to meet you all.
