Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

My mother and grandmother taught me to crochet from the time I was 10, but I taught myself to knit when I was in my mid-30s.

What's your favorite fiber?

Buffalo and Merino are my favorite. My husband is wild about Alpaca.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Sorry, I got lost in the dream for a minute...

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

Crochet: 30+ years, Knitting: 10 years or so...I think we are well past "passing fancy".

Introduction

Hello. I have lived in Austin since 2010. I love this city and I have made a lot of friends but none of them share my passion for knit or crochet. It would be great to know people who are also knitters and crocheters.
