I'm fairly new to knitting, with just a few projects under my belt. I never realized just how addictive it would become and am eager to gain the skills to complete more complicated projects.
In January of 2007, an experienced friend taught me the basics and I caught a hold of it with some repeated viewing of the videos on knittinghelp.com.
I really like knitting with wool. Love alpacea.
Something for myself, anything really. I seem to make stuff for others, but never get to the pile of procects I want for me.
I've now been knitting for about 3 years and I really enjoy it. I know it's not a passing fancy, although I go back and forth on the time and energy I put into it. I picked crocheting back up after learning how to knit, but don't do it very often.

"Thanks for sharing Erica. I'd really love to get a group project going after we make it through the holidays."
"For many of you this may be totally obvious, but well I must sheepishly admit I just hadn't gotten that far yet...."
"Hill Country Weaver is organizing a bus trip for the Yarn Crawl. The original email I recieved stated that it was on Saturday, but I just found out they are organizing it for Sunday instead. For me the change in days made it much easier to do...."
"From makerfaire.com: We will not be holding a Maker Faire Austin this year primarily due to the economy. We thank Austin for their support and will keep you posted as our 2010 plans develop...."
"Sorry about the short notice on this, but I wasn't sure if they were doing it this year and only just found the info http://www.hillcountr......"
