Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

In January of 2007, an experienced friend taught me the basics and I caught a hold of it with some repeated viewing of the videos on knittinghelp.com. I learned how to crochet at a tween and picked it up again after I began knitting.

What's your favorite fiber?

I tend to gravitate toward cotton and merino wool.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

With loads of time to myself to knit? Sounds like heaven. Perhaps I'd actually attempt to make a sweater or a more time consuming project.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I've hit the lifelong passion stage, but it tends to go in ebbs and flows.

Introduction

As a working mother of 2 young children, I keep my projects small and simple. I look forward to the day when I have the skill and time to take on some of the beautiful projects I see my comrades make, but for now I just bask in their lovely company.
