Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I taught myself; in high school it was a very brief fad to knit scarves during class. I found I liked doing it and kept up with it even though everyone else lost interest. I don't think my teachers appreciated it much! It's been about 11 years.

What's your favorite fiber?

Cotton. I knit almost exclusively with natural fibers and, having lived in a very warm climate for nearly eight years, it's one of the few that is truly practical for me to knit with. I also like bamboo and, for heavier garments, merino or alpaca.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

A gorgeous couture-style gown. After I'd knit a hammock and some rope and a fishing net, of course!

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I think you do already have it, yes. ;)

I am the Anti-Sock.
