Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I taught myself how to knit 11 years ago and to crochet 10 years ago.

What's your favorite fiber?

Anything that I can turn into something else.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

A sturdy (and undeniably soft) hammock.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

DEFINITELY a lifelong passion. It's one of those constants that gets you through life's changes.

Introduction

I am new to Austin, but not to knitting and crocheting! I'm hoping to connect with other knitters and crocheters in the area and learn some new skills, learn more about the area, and meet some awesome people!
