Introduction

Joining this group was the best thing I did upon moving to Austin. There's no shortage of talent, wit, and intelligence, our members span the cultural and knitting/crocheting spectrum. I never fail to learn something new from our meetups.

Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

A wonderful, generous & PATIENT lady named Ann Landau taught me basics & helped me with every bind I managed to create for two weeks on an Oct. 2006 transatlantic crossing. Making squares for Warm Up America was a great beginning and practice.

What's your favorite fiber?

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles, what would you make?

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

Additional Information

"After knitting with a dozen women who were total strangers daily for two weeks on a ship, I found knitting with others the way to go. This knitting meet up is fabulous! With increasing experience, my interests are heirloom patterns & project types. "
