Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

learned when I was very young, and again 11 years ago when a close friend told me she was going to have twins. have never actually knitted a finished product until a month ago, when I picked it up again.

What's your favorite fiber?

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

scarves and ponchos -- maybe a hammock?

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

don't know yet -- I can be a bit of a dilettante

hi! I just started knitting last month and have made 7 scarves and 1 hat so far... but have a long way to go... it'll be good to meet up w/ other knitters and get pointers etc.
