Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I learned at school when I was 7. It was cool to knit and my sister taught me crochet later. I've been handling yarn ever since.

What's your favorite fiber?

Pima cotton makes me happy. It feels good in my hands.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

I'd start with a blanket with a tight stitch, then a lacy wrap skirt and shirt. I wouldn't worry about lacy patterns since no one would be around to see me :)

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

Definitely not a passing fancy.

Introduction

I've had hooks or needles in my hands since I was 7. Yarn makes me happy and is soothing.
