Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I learn to crochet on my own with the help of books and youtube.

What's your favorite fiber?

I love silk and cashmere. I didn't say I could afford it. I made a scarf out of fisherman's wool and enjoy making it because of the feeling of the wool against my skin. Just thinking of it makes me smile.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

I would make a blanket and a sweater. The blanket and sweater will be used in the evenings to keep me warm and feeling soft.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I want this to be a life long passion. I started out doing this because I want to make my own clothing. Funniest thing about that is I've only made three things for myself in all this time. That is going to change. :)

In which part of Austin do you live? (N, NW, Central, S, SW, Lakeway, Cedar Park, etc.)

Introduction

Hello I'm Charlotte. I've been crocheting for a few years now. I have plenty of projects I want to do and think it would be fun to have a group to meetup with and have a time setup to just focus on my crocheting and enjoy the company of others.

What Charlotte D. is saying about this Meetup Group

Love this group. I love the love for the craft that everyone has. I love the ability to relate with others the experiences that make the craft worth doing.
