Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

My great grandmother was an avid crochet/knitter and lived to be 102, so I got to spend some time learning from her.

What's your favorite fiber?

I adore textiles of every hand.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

A knitted postcard home.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I'm new to the craft, but have had a lifelong admiration for it

Introduction

I'm new to the Austin area but a Texas native, looking for some interesting people and activities to get involved in.
