Introduction

I've been crotcheting for about a year ago, and I've made almost everyone I know a blanket. I have done a little knitting, but I forgot how to start, so I need some bush up lessons. I look forward to meeting everyone soon.

Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

My husband taught guitar to a kid whose mother is German & she crochets & knits.I bought one of the teach yourself to crochet/knit packs, but she helped me really figure it out so I could actually do something.Then I taught myself to read patterns.

What's your favorite fiber?

Not good enough to have branched out from the cheap yarn. They make the best blankets. I buy a lot of the yarn by the pound.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles, what would you make?

If I was stranded on a deserted island, I would probably make something to live in and wear.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

For me, I think knitting and crocheting will be something I do for ever. I have been taking a little brake from crotching because my thumb hurts all the time now! Just had a lot of crocheting to do at x-mas, and now my thumb needs a rest.
