Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

my mom taught me to knit when I was little. I have just gotten a lot more into it in the past few months. I look forward to hanging out with local fellow knitters

What's your favorite fiber?

I feel pretty novice to the world of fibers and still discovering a lot of new textures. Lately, I made a project in silk / bamboo - oh it feels like heaven!

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

socks. I have never made socks, but it's my next project!!!! I'm so excited to start trying. although I don't know if cashmere would be a good sock fiber.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I might not always be as active a knitter as I have been in the past few months, but it will always be something I enjoy doing. I've been going back to it since I was a kid, so I guess that's a sign.

Been living in Austin since early 2012, and I'm still getting used to this heat... It is a lovely city, though :) looking forward to meeting new people!
