Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I learned at a yarn shop in Dallas ( Yarn & Stitches ) and have been crocheting on and off for a couple years and learned to knit last December.

What's your favorite fiber?

I like sewing & quilting as well as knitting & crocheting so that's a toughie for me to answer. I love Deborah Norville yarns (so soft and wash well) and I love knit fabrics (however difficult they are to work with).

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Has a cashmere bathing suit ever been made? :)

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

Lifelong passion. I have tons of interests but if I could do them all regularly in moderation, such as through meetups, I wouldn't have to set them aside! :)

Introduction

Permanently relocated to Austin from Dallas, loving every minute. Missing my knitting and crocheting; I figure a meetup would help me set time aside for my beloved hobbies. :)
