Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

A woman on a bus in Israel.

What's your favorite fiber?

Cotton

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Ah, at last someone's asked me that very question! I'd make sweaters for the rescuers. Then I'd have to consider if I was willing to leave.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

It's so satisfying to work with beautiful yarns and make beautiful things. I'll do it as long as I can.

Introduction

I started knitting again a couple years ago after seeing a vest I liked in a Santa Fe yarn shop. Yes, it's finally done! And I've now embarked on a skirt.
