Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

I am somewhat self taught and I took a few classes while I lived in Houston.

What's your favorite fiber?

Don't have one yet. I've used cotton and I believe a silk rayon, but I haven't found a favorite yet.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Hm. Some kind of shelter, a blanket to lay upon, a bathing suit...etc.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

I would like for it to be a lifelong passion. At some point down the road, my fiance and I would like to be completely self sufficient. I keep picking it up, then we move, I misplace my needles, repurchase new ones, find the old ones, and I try to continue where I left off or I start new projects. Knitting and always gives me peace of mind. I try to delve into it whenever I can.

I've always had an interest in crocheting and knitting. I've tried to teach myself and take classes. I would like to get back in to it. I think attending a group will help.
