Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

My cousin taught me to crochet, but I was more interested in knitting and taught myself from a book when I was 5.

What's your favorite fiber?

Cotton, wool and acrylic.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

I would make blankets to sit and lay on and then an entire wardrobe for every season.

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

Knitting is an addiction!! I’ve been strung out for many years.

I'm interested in meeting other knitters in the area now that my schedule is not as hectic as it used to be. Hand knitting seems to be a dying art; I haven't met another knitter in years and I have many skeins of yarn that I can trade with others.
