Who taught you how to knit/crochet and how long have you been doing it?

YouTube taught me, and I've been knitting for about 6 years.

What's your favorite fiber?

Organic cotton, sock weight merino, and pashmina.

If you were stranded on a deserted island with loads of cashmere and rosewood needles (or hooks), what would you make?

Probably a cashmere hammock, because how badass would it be to lay in a cashmere hammock?

For you, does knitting/crocheting seem like it's going to be a passing fancy or a lifelong passion? (Hint: If you've been doing it for more than 3 years, I think we already have your answer.) :)

It is definitely a lifelong passion. Before settling here, we traveled for 9 months including Italy, Greece, Croatia, Panama, and all over the US in our car. I flew with a backpack of yarn and needles (and almost got them confiscated by TSA flying into Panama), and despite limited space in our car, had two tubs of my stash with me at all times.

Introduction

Hey! I moved to Austin about 3 weeks ago and am loving it! I'm a technology professional, and love to knit in my (rare) spare time!
