DB.php and PEAR Access to Database

This message board is read-only.

I'm hoping for some PHP help. Responses would be much appreciated.

After 5 months, I tried to use again a PHP script that I wrote. It's not a very big one (114 lines). I get a blank, white screen. The line that is causing it to fail is:
require "DB.php";

I was using PEAR to check the login name and password against a (very) small database table. It has stopped working and I'm wondering how I start fixing the issue. What should I try to resolve this?

DB.php is a file that is built into PEAR, right? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

The script is working again. The Web host had made a mistake with one of their files. Even though I no longer need help with this issue, I'd like to learn from it.

How is it that PEAR requires DB.php? I don't have a file called DB.php. How can it require a file I never put in place? Can anyone explain this mystery?
