Job located in Temple, TX. 60 miles north of Austin.

RVOS Farm Mutual Insurance is seeking a PHP / SQL Software Developer. This is a contract position with an immediate start date. The expected duration of the contract is 3 months. The position could turn into a full time position. Candidates must be skilled in PHP, PL/SQL (Oracle), T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server), MySQL, Javascript (esp. jQuery), web services, object-oriented analysis and design, and relational database architecture. Candidate must be able to work on-site.

Job Duties

Create new PHP and SQL back-end applications
Build data models.
Maintain and improve existing applications
Help analyze and resolve issues

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years experience with object-oriented PHP
5+ years experience writing SQL queries
5+ years experience designing and building relational databases
5+ years experience writing stored procedures in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
Experience with Linux and Bash scripting
A sound knowledge of Oracle database systems, including a solid grasp of their features and when and how they should be used (including views, stored procedures, user functions, sequences, directories, synonyms, and materialized views)
Ability to create and maintain web services (XML-RPC and RESTful API's)

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with the Zend Framework
Experience in EFT and credit card processing systems
Experience with the Drupal content management system
Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies
