It is called Sulfadene...first aide skin medication.
It is in a small bottle...and is yellow oily looking.
works wonders for our Rocky.

What is the name of the shampoo you found at wal mart?
2 of our babies have "zits" along the bottom of their mouths. Will this help? If not, any reccomendations?the vet said to try hydrogen peroxide but it didn't work

I know exactly what you?re talking about.  My Grandfather used that (not sure if it?s the same exact one) on his English bulldog that had really bad mange and it really helped.  Thanks for the advice, I totally forgot all about that. My question is, is it ok to use the medicated shampoo when there are open sores on him?

Hi, I adopted a pug that I was fostering. He had mange really bad ,I am talking no hair. He was being treated with the medicated  shampoo and it really dried his skin so bad that the hair would not grow bad at all. I then went to the Dollar General and looked in the African /American section and bought some shampoo that is Olive Oil shampoo for dry, itchy scalp and it made such a difference in his recovery. I still use the shampoo on him as well as my other pugs. It has also reduced the shedding. It is made by Organics and is in a green bottle. It is very worth a try. I now have adopted him and I will say he is the most beautiful black pug you have ever laid eyes on! Thanks JoAnn

Good Morning All,

I took my precious boy for a hike in the greenbelt on Sunday and gave him a really good bath when I got home. Everything seemed fine until I woke up Tuesday morning to find a quarter size hotspot on the back of his neck (near the top of his head). I treated the area and now it looks like its healing but now he has two more hotspots around the same area. Has this ever happened to you guys? I took him to the vet a few months ago in regards to Hotspots and they gave a medicated shampoo which has worked but my poor little guy has never had sores like this. I can't take him to Vet until Monday...do you guys have any recommendations on how to care for the hotspots for the time being? Anything will help!

Thanks,

Rell
