The Austin Runners Meetup Group began in Summer 2007. The group's primary purpose is to allow runners of all endurance levels, paces, distances and months or years of running experience to run together in a non-competitive atmosphere and to get to know each other through a variety of social activities.
Runs are scheduled throughout the week as well as weekends. Each run is open to any runner regardless of experience and are posted on the meetup calendar.
The distances vary from 3-5 miles on the weekday runs (evenings) and 3-7 miles on the weekends (mornings). After each run we usually head over to one of our frequented eating establishments to refuel.
While we are not a training group, there are several training groups in the Austin area that provide proper instruction on running and many other running-related topics.

If you come out for a group run or any other event - please be responsible for yourself, hydrate and stop if you feel shortness of breath, faint or dizzy.
