From a shamanic perspective, everything is alive and has a life purpose to fulfill, including such things as crystals and stones. In fact, they are often referred to as the Stone People or Stone Nation. Just as each person, animal and plant is unique, so too is each crystal and stone. They look and feel unique, and have unique vibrational qualities that can be used for specific purposes like protection, healing, shifting moods, clearing heavy energy, increasing intuition, cutting energetic cords, opening the heart or magnifying your sense of the Divine.
We have many allies in the Stone Nation; there are several reference dictionaries and books written about them. In the Crystal Allies Journey Circle, we explore five specific stones - one linked to each of the five Elements - and learn about their capacities as energy tools. Then we will Journey to connect with the stones and discover how one (or more) might support this phase of your path. You will get a handout to keep that lists the five stones and their qualities, plus three more.
This Circle is for anyone interested in shamanic practice. Shamanism is not a religion or a dogma. It is not dependent on any particular organizational structure or belief system, but is a practical world view based on ancient understanding of the relationships between humans and nature or Spirit. The shamanic perspective on life and living is extremely relevant to the challenges and concerns of our modern world and ordinary life experiences, and is compatible with all religious and spiritual beliefs.
What to bring with you?
In addition to curiosity and willingness to explore something new, bring a journal or notebook with you to record your journey and insights that you receive. Wear comfortable clothes for floor seating on pillows and yoga blankets. If you have a hand drum, feel free to bring it, but it is not necessary. You might also bring a bandanna or blindfold to cover your eyes.
A $10 contribution requested to cover time and space rental. RSVP is requested for attendance. PayPal is available, but not required. You can also pay by cash or check at the door.
I loved Ceci's presentation of the Stone Nation. Thanks to everyone for sharing their presence and energy.

Two interesting things happened to me with crystals that I'm not quite certain about. The first one was about a year ago and involved a rose quartz crystal that was fashioned has a pendant with a clear globe and a clear point on either end of it. A woman pointed at it and a few moments later, it exploded while I was wearing it. Slightly freaked out, I looked for the pieces on the floor. There were none, but only the largest remaining piece was left on the chain around my neck. I was uneasy about that little event. 2nd story, I wore a clear quartz crystal that a friend sent me from the mines in Arkansas. It left me. During the middle of an art and resale market I was participating in with some old friends from my hometown, the crystal came out of the wire wrapping and went elsewhere. No one has been able to find it (that we know of).
I have many other crystals that have decided to stay and remain intact. Comments?

There is SO much to share about crystals and stones! I've selected five of my favorites to share with you, each one aligned with one of the Elements. I am excited to support the bridge that connects you with even one small part of the great Stone Nation. May this Crystal Allies Journey Circle serve as a gracious beginning or a supportive addition to your relationship with them. Namaste'
