Open Lotus Studio, 3212 S Congress Ave
Registration at the door: $10 (2 raffle tickets included)
The Austin Shamanism Meetup Group and Open Lotus Studio are hosting a seasonal Tribal Gathering Saturday, March 22. Come celebrate with us the shifting of the seasons with an evening filled with playfulness and connection.
The Spring Equinox (known traditionally as Ostara) marks the turning of the Wheel of the Year moving us away from the cooler, darker seasons of Fall and Winter into the warmer, lighter seasons of Spring and Summer. Spring itself marks the completion of the life, death, birth cycle. During this time, the days lengthen, the Sun intensifies and everything comes to life! New life bursts forth as trees prepare to bud, flowers and grasses bloom, baby animals are born and everything begins to turn toward the strengthening Sun.
The energy of Ostara is about rebirth and renewal, balance, fertility, life and growth. It reminds us to resurrect our inner light and hope from out of the darkness of Winter. Join us in a community ritual during this powerful time to honor the Earth's balance, bounty and light, and to honor our own balance, bounty and light as well.
Enjoy food, conversation, dance, and community drumming, with potluck feast! Break bread and visit with others in the Austin Shamanism and Open Lotus Communities, share the joy of dance, the rhythm of drums, and the smiles of our hearts. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Several wonderful items ranging from hand-made jewelry, artwork, personal service certificates and more will be raffled during the evening. The $10 entrance fee gets you 2 tickets, and you can buy more for $1 each. Proceeds go to support the activities and events of our wonderful studio host.
