Shamanism Class: Honoring
with Gerry Starnes, M.Ed.
"Honoring" is a very important part of living in harmony with the world, with others, and with yourself. The evening journey circle in this season of Thanks Giving will focus on "Gratitude and Honoring," so the class is a perfect introduction and lead-in to the evening's journey.
This Meetup Class includes a broad range of discussions including
• "What is smudging?"
• "How do you build a Medicine Wheel?"
• "Creating Altars"
• Your Questions Answered
and much more.
Each week there will be a different topic. Come prepared for anything! Suggestions for topics are welcome to [masked]. Or leave a suggestion when you RSVP.
Shamanism is a very practical and powerful practice that is relevant to ordinary life experiences and decisions. It is not dependent on any particular organizational structure or belief system.

The Circle meets from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Prior to the regular Wednesday Journey Circle. We begin promptly at 6:00 with a short meditation to drumming and end at 7:00. Please feel free to stay for the regular Journey Circle at 7:30.
What to bring with you?
In addition to curiosity and willingness to explore something new, bring a journal or notebook with you to record your journey and insights that you receive. If you have a hand drum, feel free to bring it, but it is not necessary. You might also bring a bandanna or blindfold to cover your eyes.
I regret I was not able to make this meeting. I hope I will be able to meet you all real soon. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.

Hi! I see that the RSVP's are closed, but I would love to join this evening at Thrive...would I still be able to attend? Thanks!
Peace,

I'll be very sorry to miss the class and following journey circle, especially since one of the biggest things I've come to appreciate from being part of this community and practice is gratitude. On the flip side, I'll be at Big Bend, honoring nature face to face and being VERY grateful and excited to be there. Enjoy next week, everyone, and thanks for bringing me into your circle (figuratively and literally!). :)
