Spark! Your Own Independence

We dream our own reality. What dream do you want to create?

Imagine a life dreamed from the energy of conscious choice, creativity and appreciation; love and clarity. Join author and Toci teacher, Shiila Safer and her life partner Dan Gauthier as we discover ways to remember and reclaim our authentic and beautiful selves.

Through years of domestication we tend to cultivate powerful characters that makeup our personalities, and some of these characters, when allowed to overpower and act out, create mischief and suffering in our lives. You may be familiar with your inner judge or critic; perhaps you are puzzled by a tendency for your inner victim to act out. These powerful characters within our personalities are so well developed and skilled, that they hide or overshadow our authentic self that has infinite capacity for creativity, wisdom, beautiful expression, happiness, and love.

Spark! Your Own Independence introduces a perspective and shamanic tools to build a healthy container for dreaming the reality you desire. This fun and experiential evening introduces the Spark! Toltec Summer Intensive and is intended to ignite an inner fire of passion and creative intent.

Following the Meetup, we will celebrate our personal independence with an optional field trip to Barton Creek Mall parking lot, a fabulous place to watch the July 4th Independence Day Fireworks Show. No traffic, and right next door! Bring munchies, a lawn chair, bug spray, and sparklers if you have them.

We look forward to our exploration and discovery together!

Other than an Asian joke about visiting an acupuncturist that made me uncomfortable, I thought the leaders ideas were very helpful, and will give the nondominant hand writing approach a try.

i thought that the gist of the joke was that a decision to treat somebody is laden with intentionality (it is not to be taken for granted). in my view, which is finite of course, the acupuncurist being Vietnamese (if i remember correctly) had little to do with what was distinctive about the interaction that was described.

Thank you both for your comments! Yes, the story was about choice, and that the acupuncturist made a conscious choice to treat Dan. (apologies for inadvertent and unintended discomfort) In the same way, we can make decisions from choice rather than being taking for granted, or being on automatic.
