Blessed February!

A Toltec is an artist of Love, an artist of the Spirit, someone who is creating every moment, every second, the most beautiful art -the Art of Dreaming. Life is nothing but a dream, and if we are artists, then we can create our life with Love, and our dream becomes a masterpiece of art.

- From The Mastery of Love by don Miguel Ruiz

I was thrilled to hear the word "love" used during the Presidential Inauguration. Love is a powerful force, a natural resource that we can tap into to change so many things. We use the word a lot in many different contexts: I love pie, I love my new car, I love my kids. But what love is cannot by defined by words, but by a feeling, a knowing. When we are in love we open wide to the world. We see the beauty and the possibilities in everything around us. We are connected and filled with joy and radiant peace.
When people ask don Miguel how he is doing, he often used to say "I am doing great! I am in love!" And he WAS in love with everything. More and more I feel the same sense of overwhelming gratitude and sweet love for everything in my life, for the love I feel for my friends to loving the fact that when I finish this email I'll go clean up the doggie diarrhea that Inti left in his crate from purging some random thing he ate from the yard.

And speaking of cleansing.... Our community celebrates the transition between Winter to Spring by participating in what we now fondly call the Lense (a combination of Cleanse and Lent). Each person feels into what they would like to clear out or clean in their life and commits with love to abstain from particular foods, ways of thinking, or habits from Candlemas (Monday, February 2) to Spring Equinox (Friday, March 20). For more information check out my blog; you are so welcome to join us! It is amazing what you can shift in your life by being energetically supported by a community focused on loving, non-judgmental change.

Our first Toltec Open House will kick off Sunday, February 1 with a fabulous potluck brunch at 11 am and be followed by many festivities to mark the Toltec Center's 8th birthday and our nearly one year anniversary at in our beautiful space in Wimberley. Details below. Also check out many new classes and a few other offerings for this month

Blessings and happy loving!
