Re: [python-188] Austin Learn Python meetup???

Hi Bill,

Thanks for re-starting the discussion about this, and thanks for
volunteering to be an organizer!

I had mentioned to some people after our previous meetup about
starting a new Meetup that was just for "Austin Learn Python". I
didn't know if we should do it as just another meeting for APUG, or if
we should do a new Meetup group altogether. I think I'm leaning
slightly in favor of creating a new meetup group, but I could be
convinced either way. Anyone with strong opinions about this?

Who here (APUG and AWPUG) wants to actually help *organize* and run
the Learn Python meetup? This is a level of commitment beyond just
showing up as a teacher. I am happy to help facilitate this, but as
much as I would love to be an active organizer, I have to be realistic
about my time commitments and travel schedule, and I don't think I
could do it.

Also, based on our September APUG discussion
there are several people who volunteered to be mentors. We can
definitely use a few more, so please let me know if I don't have your
name down already in the Mentors section of that doc.
