Sit....Chat....Relax.  This is an opportunity to meet up with others facing similar life challenges in a comfortable, relaxing environment.

As part of our ongoing effort to provide useful resources to the local autism community, we are pleased to announce that our new mobile lending library will now be available at all Coffee Talk events, as well as Family Gymnastics and North County Support Group.

This meeting is hosted by:

Michelle Wolfson, MFT, is the parent of three children, one with Down syndrome and one with autism and has been married to Alan for 27 years.  Besides her professional counseling and educational advocacy practice for families with children having special needs, she is the immediate past Chair of the NCCSE Community Advisory Committee and is active in parent support groups in Carlsbad.

That is ashamed Kim. I would like to meet as many people as possible with similar situations, goals, dreams, fears, doubts, hopes as I have as a parent.

You are welcome to join us and we will try to have some ideas for you. If nothing else, you will find supportive ears at this meeting! The Autism Society San Diego does have an Adult Support and Information meeting which meets the second Tuesday of each month in San Diego. https://www.autismsoci...

My son is 40. Will this group be helpful for me. His diagnosis of high functioning autism was given to us 2 weeks ago so I do not know much about how to help him.

This will be my first meeting ever through the SDAS but I may not make it until 9:30am if that's ok. I will have to get away from the office for this meeting.
