go to ignite spatial

  • November 14, 2012 · 6:30 PM

Hey folks,

The second batch of IGNITE SPATIAL BOSTON 4 tickets are available on NOV 1st.

I amextremely pleased with the response to the first round of Ignite tickets which sold out in just a few days. I would like to remind you that the second batch of tickets go on sale Thursday (and the price is "free").

Also, I would like to ask you for your help with the following two things:

1) We are looking for more Ignite talks: We have a great line up so far with 7 of the 15 potential slots filled and would like to grow this list. So if you, or someone you know uses geospatial technology for work or for fun please consider submitting an Ignite talk and sharing what you've learned. I would love to hear from you!

2) We are looking for more donations/sponsors:  This event is an all volunteer event and is funded by donations and sponsors. Please consider sponsoring this event if your company is interested in attracting geospatial employees or is willing to show its support for a local geospatial community. This event draws a great crowd (we expect close to 150 attendees) and the $200 sponsorship fee is a very modest investment.

To get tickets, submit a talk proposal, donate, and sponsor Ignite Spatial Boston 4 please visit:

As always, thanks for your support,

Guido Stein
Lead Organizer

p.s. you will need to get a ticket in order to attend, signing up for this event on meetup does not count as a ticket.

It feels a little like all of Boston is showing up to our Ignite party... so I would like to ask you my AvidGeo friends if you would be willing to help volunteer for this event.

    I need:
3 people to run front of house
    2 people to run av
4 people to help setup/tear down

Setup will begin at 5:30 and the event should not go long after 9. Please email me directly with your cell phone # to let me know what you are to help out with. It's going to be a great time and I cannot thank you all for your support of the local spatial community.
