At this gathering, we will discuss meditation and the breath. We'll also look at (or start) our own meditation practice. Most importantly, we'll meditate!

About - Community Sitting
Come to a peer-led meditation group each Monday 7-8:30. After a short introduction to mindfulness of breathing (Anapanasati), we will have a 30-minute sit followed by discussion and conversation. This group is for beginners or experienced meditators who would like to practice in a communal setting. The intention of this group is to help individuals and a community of practitioners develop and deepen their daily mindfulness practice. Regardless of race, religion, social status, sexual identity or stage of recovery everyone is welcome and equal at Awake NC ~Buddhist Meditation Society. Awake NC is strictly funded by the generosity of donors.
