I am the founder of Awake NC ~ Against The Stream Buddhist Meditation Society based in Raleigh NC. I am certified to teach meditation by University of the West and continue my training with Noah Levine at Against The Stream, Los Angles, CA.

What is your practice?

I meditate every day practicing Ánápánasati.

I take refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha

I practice the training of the five precepts : abstain from taking life abstain from taking what is not given abstain from sexual misconduct abstain from false speech abstain from all intoxicants that causes heedlessness

Are you against the stream?

Against The Stream The Buddha said his path to awakening was one of rebellion – a subversive path that is against greed, against hatred, and against delusion. It is a path of radical, engaged transformation, a path of finding freedom and spending the rest of our lives giving it away. It is a path that goes Against the Stream.
