11:15 am - Documentary - HOLDING OUR OWN: Embracing the End of Life

(Camilla Rockwell, USA, 2007, 57 min) - NJ PREMIERE
($8 for this film / $5 students and seniors)

Recommended for those with interests in: Hospice, aging/dying parents, Vermont, visual arts/ textile arts, singing and choirs

A moving and tender treatment of life's final passage, Holding Our Own features the stunning work of textile artist Deidre Scherer and the heartfelt harmonies of the Hallowell Hospice Choir of Vermont. It explores how aging, grief, and spirituality can be gently touched and even celebrated by sharing the creative gifts of art and music. The AISFF Screening Committee were unanimous - a must-see! Very uplifting!
SPECIAL GUEST: Joining us from Vermont, Hallowell Hospice Choir founder and coordinator, Kathy Leo, will answer questions and hear responses after the film. CDs by the Hallowell Hospice Choir will be available for purchase.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
