Conquer Unhealthy Cravings: An Evening With Kale University

Please join us for a very special presentation that will combine cutting-edge scientific facts about the body and mind with our personal stories and powerful strategies for getting to the bottom of your struggle with unhealthy eating habits. Our issues with weight, body image and health are multi-faceted, and so must be our methods for dealing with them.

We will be discussing why certain foods are "comforting" and yet leave us feeling guilty, uncomfortable, regretful and ultimately...confused!  Have you ever wondered, "Why, if I'm so smart and so strong, do I let this happen to myself time and time again?" We have! We all make mistakes. Well, we will explain why we are driven to eat those foods, how these very cravings are actually trying to protect us and sustain us, and how we can turn our natural drive to be healthy and our innate strength to survive into our greatest ally, even in a world where unhealthy foods greet us at every turn.

We'll share with you some simple ways to start saying no to negative thoughts, no to foods that don't serve you, no to people and situations who hold you back, and awesome ways to say yes! Yes to health, yes to living foods, and yes to a whole new you!

You'll leave with a feeling of empowerment, and feel the support of other people in our network who are all in it together. You'll also take home a handout condensing our tips and resources that you can refer to as you start to make little changes in your current routine. We can all get better at any time. You're either striving to get better, or allowing yourself to get worse; there's no such thing as staying the same. This is something you can do for yourself, something that you deserve.     Kale University's Ken Dorr and Suzanne Turner gave a concise and modern presentation on how to conquer unhealthy cravings. Speaking from personal experience, they gave some points on how to avoid or substitute food that is really not good for you.
