Most of us have read Atlas Shrugged or The Fountainhead. What other books or articles by Ayn Rand do you particularly like?

I pariticularly enjoyed Capitalism:The Unknown ideal. It's in my car at all times. I read it often.

This group is open to everyone interested in the writings and ideas of Ayn Rand. Some of us are members of the Ayn Rand Institute, some of us are members of are Atlas Society and some of us have no affiliations. Do you have an affiliation?

I have no affiliation, but I do my best to keep up with both ARI and the Atlas Society.

Our group members want to learn from and be inspired by each other. How do you strive to live with the sense of life that Ayn Rand has inspired you to live?

I do my best to react to world around me in a rational manner, dealing with how things are rather than how I wish them to be. I strive for excellence in whatever I'm working on. I do my best to make choices that are in my best interest without infringing on the rights of others. I expect others to honor my individual rights and freedom. I believe faith, force and altruism are destroying the individual sovereignty each of needs in order to live our lives to the fullest. I share this message with others when opportunities present themselves. I'm looking for like-minded people to learn from and leverage efforts with in order to educate as many people as we can. There are plenty of reasons to be pessimistic about the path of our nation. I want to help change the path.

Ayn Rand named the philosophy she wrote about in her books "Objectivism." On a scale from 1 to 10 where 1="never heard of it" to 5="pretty familiar with it, but have more to learn" to 10="I am John Galt", what is your knowledge of Objectivism?

Hello everybody. I just moved back from TX to South San Francisco where I was born and raised. I'm a big fan of Ayn Rand and Objectivism. I'm looking for like-minded folks to spend time with and learn from. Can't wait to meet you. ~ Matt
