The lesson of Atlas Shrugged seems somewhat antithetical to the hero worship of its characters, not to mention its author. A self-actualized individual must stand on his own merits. At most, I can say that I am inspired by several characters in Atlas.
Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology should be required reading for every reasoning mind. While I reject the dogmatic fanaticism that sometimes unfortunately persists among some so called objectivist, reason compels me to remain objective myself.
If you believe that your rational mind has value, you are likely to find value in the experience of other rational minds.
