Here's some info below, but for more details and to register, go to:

McDowell Mountain Regional Park is arguably the home XC race course for many AZ mountain bike events.  The course was home to the Cactus Cup back in the early 90′s and features classic desert riding with short climbs, tight turns, and cactus galore.  This course will challenge you and leave you smiling, so long as you stay out of the cactus.  Bring along the crew, there is a sweet new pump track for everyone to enjoy.

McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Shea Blvd. to Fountain Hills Blvd. (into Fountain Hills), Arizona. Follow Fountain Hills Blvd. until it becomes McDowell Mountain Road. Continue 4 miles to the park entrance on your LEFT. There is a $6 entry fee for each vehicle.  Map

Camping IS available at this venue.

$20 First timers (1x only)
$20 Juniors (18 and under, price never changes)
$40 Early
$45 Ontime
$55 Day of registration (save money, sign up online)

Awards are 3 deep per category (categories are shown below under FAQ)
Payouts are for Marathon and Pro categories only and will be 5 deep for both males & females.

1st = $100
2nd = $90
3rd  = $80
4th = $50
5th = $25

Every great event is not possible without the help and support of outstanding volunteers.  Volunteer hours are logged and will count towards team standings.  Help make these events great by giving back a bit of your time, heck you might even get some extra schwag, and some new friends, without a doubt, you will get our sincere gratitude in helping making it all happen.

    I think I just realized that the marathon is really 43 miles 1 sport-tech-long-pemberton-long + 1 sport_tech_long. I misread the lap sheet. I know I got the 33 miles. nothing like a litte added challenge last minute well I will go for it anyway.

    I just did pre ride the marathon route and it is I measured 34 miles. It is a nice ride not too hard. I went at a very easy pace and it took me over 4 hours moving time. I would like to propose a pre-ride with a group the weekend of Jan 4th. I am looking to shave some time off. Not looking to get up on podium but do want to finish strong.
