Desert Classic with a Twist

A fun 18 mile out and back trail on the south side of South Mountain. This fast and rolling single track is for any skill of rider. The easy to moderate riding is mostly single track with rocky sections, short climbs and sand washes. On your way out, South Mountain will be on your right while the Chandler suburbs will be to your left. There are many other trails branching off to get sidetracked, but the trail is fairly well marked with posts. This trail is great for seeing the Sonoran desert while just spinning along. This can be a very crowded trail during good weather, so watch out for other trail users.

We can decide on how far we want to go. Total mileage for coast to coast to coast is around 18.6 miles.  We can also chose to do some offshoot trails like ray road access loop trail some fun intermediate single track off of the saddle to Helipad.

Pima Canyon Trailhead is located west off of 48th Street just south of Guadalupe Road. It's all rather confusing. Your first time just go to the intersection of Guadalupe & 48th then head south. Take the first right and an immediate left into South Mountain/Phx Preserves Park. Follow the access road passing the golf course all the way to the trailhead.

Look for Silver Kia Sportage my car I will park close to trail head.

We will meet under Ramada.

Lee it is worth mentioning, the parking lot may be a zoo. I would suggest specifying which of the 2 ramadas. Or better, the outhouse, there is only one and it is easy to find if you are downwind. : )
