MadCap Theater Photo Shoot (Lighting Practice) 28th

We've been given the opportunity to utilize one of the old destroyed theaters downstairs at MadCap (the old Harkins Tempe), along with the back stairwells and hallway.

The thematic possibilities are endless!

I've lined up two models* that want to come out and play. They are not available all three days but hopefully we'll have at least one each time. If we have none, then we'll shoot ourselves!

This is an opportunity to pass on to others, as well as practice what we learned at the Lighting Seminar and Wedding Walk.

We will be practicing with Speedlites as well as Alien Bees and Profoto D1's, and using professional light modifiers as well as everyday common objects. We will also have a fan(s) and smoke machine!
Items to bring:
Comfortable Clothing that can get dirty
Your Camera
An off camera flash if you have one
Your Camera and Flash Instruction Manual
Studio Lighting and Light Modifiers if you have them

*If you would like to bring a friend or spouse they need to be 18 at the time. Also, please do NOT add them to the RSVP, rather list them in the comments. They will need to understand that they may need to sit around and wait while we switch between setups.
The models coming will be working with three themes: Grunge, High Fashion, and Creative (their choice).

09:30 - 15:00 with plenty of opportunities to run out and grab lunch.

I had lots of fun taking photos. I think I got one or two keepers.

Today was the last shot day @ the Madcap Theater in Tempe. I want to publicly thank Norman Beer and his hard working helper Suzanne Sylvester. They put together a interesting and educational 3 day lighting experience for those able to attend. Norman was also able to invite some wonderful models to add to our experience. I want to express the appreciation of Az Shutterbugs West to the models, Windy West, Claire Hinder, Jessica Vargas and Aj Martinez.
They made it look easy. I have invited them to work with us in the future.
I also want to thank Leslie for being our model today, she did a great job helping us at the last minute. I hope she didn't mind to much.
All in all, we had a great time. We will be posting photos over the next few weeks. Let us know what you think.

As of this morning, we 'should' have the entire place to ourselves! This will let us play in areas we haven't in the past.

There is free parking in the lot to the West of the Condos on 5th, west of Mill. If that's full, the least expensive I've found is at the lot South of the condos, north of W6.

We had a great shoot yesterday and can't wait until tomorrow!
    A few things we learned:
*It's a LOT dirtier than we originally thought!
*It can get warm in there with all the lights and flashes!
We have yet to confirm all of the models (Claire will have to let us know in the morning) but as with the shoot yesterday, there is a chance of 'Implied Nude'. As one of them said Tuesday night "Either the models or Photographers, but they (models) reserve the right to point and laugh or gasp!"
