Fused Glass and Metal! Join us for an Artist Reception at the Showcase Gallery located in Central City! Enjoy art, refreshments, chatting with meetup friends and gambling!

After the art show...have lunch/dinner, gamble and explore Central City. The majority of the city has maintained the original architecture from the Victorian era early 1900's.

Getting There: I-70 West, Exit 243 to Central City. Turn right on Central City Parkway (becomes Nevada Avenue in CC) then park on the street or in the Century Casino parking garage free. Alternate Route: US6 through Clear Creek Canyon to Blackhawk and on to Central City. The Gallery is just past Johnny Z's Casino.

The Casino buses are another great option. The cost is $22 roundtrip. Check it out www.CasinoShuttle.com OR http://horizoncoachlines.com/images/Denver%20Casino%20schedule.pdf;; for locations and times. Be sure to take the bus to Central City. Johnny Z's or Century Casinos are located less than a block from the Central City Visitor Center/Showcase Gallery.

Carpool: Meet at the Ward Road Park n Ride located at I-70 West Exit 266 at 1:15pm to form some carpools. The physical address for the parknride is 4655 Ward Road in Wheatridge - it's on the way to Central City.

Optional Refreshment: After viewing the art, we'll have a late lunch/early dinner at a restaurant TBD.

Gambling is on your own!

See you there!

I appreciated meeting so many fun people=throughly enjoyed the day. Thank you all for making me feel so welcome and thanks for organizing the event. Loved the art and meeting the artists. It also didn't hurt that I came home $60 richer! I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Fun relaxing day with a fun group people that made me feel like I have been a part of the group for a long time. Nice meeting each and everyone of you. I am even buying a couple a Susie's pieces - loved the fused glass.

Loved the art...wish I had room for one of each artists work! I especially lust Suzie's fused glass and metal! Not a gambler but enjoyed dinner at the Century and love the Central City architecture.

Sorry I was a no show. I started feeling sick about noon and kept hoping I would feel better. Still not feeling that well at 2pm. Was not at home so it was hard to change my RSVP.

Changed the meeting time at the Gallery to 2pm when it opens. If you want to carpool, meet at 1:15pm at the Ward Road PnR. Thanks :-)

I would like to go but I need a ride to Central City. Is there anyone
I can go with. I live in the Monaco and Hampden area. I would be
glad to drive your way. Please let me know.

Hi Nancy--I might also need a ride if it snows Have a mini cooper, which is great on winding, dry roads, but not the best in snow. Let me know if you have room.

Hi Karen. Yes, I have room in my car for you and one other passenger.
