Easy Urban Walk

"Situated on a hill northwest of the Platte River, overlooking the City, are the Highlands of Denver. The Highlands is not just one district, but many, and was originally a city of it's own right. It was incorporated in 1875. By 1890, Highlands included more than thirty-five separate subdivisions."

This easy 3 mile walk is full of history and photo ops! We'll walk at a slower pace so we can admire various types of architecture and take pictures.

Parking: Mostly street parking - watch for "permit required" or limits on time. I think there's a pay lot on the corner of 16th & Boulder Street (up the hill from Amatos).

Where to Meet the Group: Meet on the corner in front of the Ale House at Amato's, 16th & Central Streets.

Optional Refreshment along or after the walk.

See you there!

Really enjoyable, but then I didn't slip and fall! Sorry to those who did and hope you aren't aching too much. But other than that, it was fun and Amato's has good food! Thanks, Debbie.

An enjoyable and informative walk despite the weather! Turned out to be a great day and lunch at the Ale House was really good!
