Playboy Jazz Festival, Hosted by Bill Cosby, at the Hollywood Bowl Hollywood Bowl (Hollywood, CA) Saturday, Jun. 13 @ 2:30pm Here's the deal – READ CAREFULLY PLEASE! If we ACT FAST, we can grab a few tix via Goldstar at $16.25 plus fees ($6 for Goldstar, $4 for moi to cover Paypal fees, and event fee etc.) for a total of $26.25 per person – and I can only get up to 6 tickets. Maybe someone else can also get 6, but those seats won't necessarily be together. After the Goldstar option, we can get tickets through Ticketmaster which are comparable for a total of $44 per person. This is a fantastic opportunity for some great music, fun in the sun (bring sunscreen, wear hats, etc.) a potluck picnic and – if you wander the outer pathways, a second-hand high! Ha. A personal fave. The first six to respond will get my – ATTEMPT – to get tix via Goldstar. There's no way for me to know when those will sell out, so I'm putting a deadline of Friday on that option. After that, the price goes up (I'll still try for the Goldstar, but getting doubtful about the possibility) to the $44. If you do sign up for the Goldstar option, and the tix are not available, I'll refund your money. Then, you can decide whether you want the regular price tickets. More information to come regarding shuttles, etc. Here's the Saturday Lineup: The Neville Brothers Kind of Blue @ 50 Remembering the Miles Davis Classic Jimmy Cobb’s So What Band featuring Wallace Roney, Vincent Herring, Javon Jackson, Larry Willis and Buster Williams Summer Storm starring Norman Brown, Wayman Tisdale, Eric Darius, featuring Gail Johnson Jon Faddis Quartet The Jack Sheldon Orchestra Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings Pete Escovedo Orchestra featuring Sheila E., Peter Michael and Juan Escovedo Esperanza Spalding Cos of Good Music featuring Dwayne Burno, Ndugu Chancler, Anat Cohen, Luis Conte, Tanya Darby and Geoffrey Keezer Direct from New Orleans, New Birth Brass Band Los Angeles County High School for the Arts Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Jason Goldman Master of Ceremonies: Bill Cosby Produced by George Wein and FestivalWest Inc.
