We are now going to Luce Enoteca Wine Bar in Powell Ohio. (Note: The Wine Loft Closed their doors and are no longer in business) Luce is not normally opened on Mondays, but they are opening the ENTIRE restaurant just for us! Monday September 28th, so we have reserved that date. We will be have the full run of the restaurant. Lots of great parking (the entire parking lot belongs to us) and a wonderful menu. We have a private space (the entire restaurant) for our event. Walk in the front door and you will find us. The menu is buffet style, with an assortment of antipasta, Italian salad, Prosciutto di Parma, marinated and grilled vegetables, domestic unique Ohio cheeses, olive plates. There will be a limited extra menu available for purchase for anyone with a robust appetite. You may bring bottles of wine, and we will spread that small cost and the corkage fees ($10 per bottle) across the members of the group (with the exception of those who bring wine) group like always. The cost of the buffet is $20, but Luce will be donating 50% of this fee ($10 per person) to our charity!!!! so we will not be asking for an additional donation to the Injured Marine Fund. Wines, beer and mixed drinks will additionally all be at available at the bar at reasonable prices: This includes individual glasses of wine, as well as over 200 different bottles of wines at State Minimum plus $7. Come on down one and all, relax, bring wine, share snacks, hang with friends, chew the fat, bring others! The donation to help support our wounded Marines is built into the dinner cost. There will be no other collection of donations. We appreciate all the work/time/life our Marines, Airmen and Soldiers give us so we may have this event and the ability to share with others. We honor those who have gone before us with the $$ we are donating. Semper FI, one and all. http://www.ragingbul ls.org/eagleglobe.jp g NOTE: We need a solid count of folks bringing wine, and how many bottles please, so please email me or call me with that information. http://2.bp.blogspot .com/_xdnxgKcsXfw/Sl aAhVOsBPI/AAAAAAAADU c/74JlW92C5Gs/s320/0 45+-+Luce+(5).JPG (click for details) Cheers, Steve Petrosino 614-264-1755

Liberty Tavern event has fallen through, but we have a great back-up location!!!! Dublin Wine Loft is a new location, and they are excited to have us attend. This location looks like it has been imported directly for Chicago or New York. Let's just say it have a very cool, laid back style all it's own. Lots of great parking and a wonderful menu. We have a private space for our event. Come is and ask for the Wine Club area. The menu is set-up for indivduals, so starters are for one person, and you can order meals as well. The club is getting cheese tray to have at the opening, we will spread that small cost and the corkage fees across the group like always. Come on down one and all, relax, bring wine, share snacks, hang with friends, chew the fat, bring others! We always ask for a $5 donation to help support our wounded Marines and all the work/time/life they give us so we may have this event and the ability to share with others. We honor those who have gone before us with the $$ help. Semper FI, one and all. NOTE: We need a solid count of folks bringing wine, and how many bottles please, so please email me that. Meetup for February. Jason's Restaurant in Worthington Order off the menu: Order as much or as little as you please. Our group member and Somellier Dave McMahon will make pairing suggestions with the wines we bring or purchase. I will need 5 volunteers to bring 2 of your favorite bottles of wine. Jason's will allow us to bring our own wine with a modest $5 corkage fee. The $5 per person is an OPTIONAL donation and is a tax-deductible contribution that will be donated in your name to our 501c3 Charity (this month, The Injured Marine Fund). Additional wines are available by the glass or bottle at a cash bar. -------------------- ------- "Jason Liu, a successful restaurateur in Dublin, his Worthington location in July of 2008. It looks like one of the more elaborate and probably most expensive ground up restaurants I have seen. The copper gutters and flashing accents the white trim and brick facing. Unique to the typical Worthington colonial architectural style is the big pineapple seen on the front of the building. My understanding is the pineapple is a welcome sign. If the food is as good as the Dublin shop this place will be very busy". --GuideMeHomeColumbu s.com -------------------- -------- "The new Jason's has high ceilings, sleek appointments, a round bar, and a patio on the ground floor. The main restaurant can seat 175. Smaller dining areas can also be closed off for private parties. Upstairs is a grand ballroom with a bar, modern chandeliers, separate meeting rooms, two small "Romeo and Juliet" balconies and a large, round, covered balcony on the south side. The large balcony has a separate entrance, and may be opened to the public when the restaurant becomes full. There have already been two wedding receptions in the ballroom, and Cappellano expects it to become a very popular venue for receptions and for other large gatherings. The menu will be similar to the upscale, casual fare that has been so popular at the Dublin Jason's, said executive chef Geoffrey Cassidy. Besides Asian fare, there will be some Italian choices, as well as steaks, chicken, seafood, appetizers and salads. "Our motto is 'something for everybody,'" he said. " --ThisWeekNews.com -------------------- -------------------- - Best regards, RSVP 614-264-1755 (800-378-1578) Steve Petrosino (Meeting Organizer)

The venue: RAVENSHURST WINERY. Our next meetup will be held at the Ravenshurst Winery (more details to follow). My intention is to get a van seating 7-9 folks (since at least 9 of the folks who have RSVPd have indicated that they are providing their own transportation to Ravenhurst). I can ferry a small group from Dublin to the winery and back on Saturday. This is at no cost, since it is my van. The distance is about 45 miles, or 1 hour by car, so we will need to leave Dublin by 2 PM. If you are interested in coming with us in our van, please call me at 614-264-1755. Details: Saturday the 8th of November from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM is "The Feast of the Boneless Fowl" at Ravenshurst and comes complete with matching wines for $28.95 PP. Chuck Harris, the owner of the winery, will be our host. I have 18 seats blocked off in our name. If you RSVP, Ravenshurst requires that you provide them with a credit card to guarantee your reservation. You will be guaranteeing the $28.95 + tax (NO tip is expected) for the wine dinner. You will NOT be pre-paying for the limo or van...I will work that out separately. Call the WINERY to give your credit card to RSVP, not me to do this. 937-210-0046 (Nina Harris' cell) or 937-354-5151 (winery). I will have to cancel your RSVP if a credit card is not on file with the winery, or otherwise I will be responsible for your dinner if you are a no-show. This is an EXCLUSIVE event, and is usuallu only open to the folks on their mailing list. Their new release wines will be highlighted (Chardonnay and Pinot). They specialize in dessert wines and Champagnes. Chuck (the winemaker and owner) states that we will probably need a limo or designated driver with the amount of wines available at this event. We will collect an optional event fee of $5 which will be donated to charity. This month I am designating as our 501 C3 charity: The Arthritis Foundation. Please make your check out to the The Arthritis Foundation (100% fully tax deductible). Those donating $20 or more to our chosen charity will be placed in a drawing for special prizes including a 4-day Caribbean cruise for 2 adults or a 7-day condo vacation in the USA, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, or Europe. (Yes, were doing it AGAIN!). We will do the drawing if we exceed $280 in donations for the evening. Otherwise, we will carry the drawing forward to the next Bacchus event. Please note that at our September meeting, no-shows increased the cost for all attendees. I have to guarantee a number to the winery by Friday, October 31st. Otherwise, we may lose some of our blocked seats. Seating is limited to 18, possibly 19. RSVP 614-264-1755 (800-378-1578) Steve Petrosino (Meeting Organizer)
