Weiland's Gourmet Market on Indianola (north of Oakland Park) has informal wine tastings on the weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun?). Usually 4 wines are offered focused on some theme (roses, fortified, etc.) for $3 for all four (or .75) for individual. They also have other food/wine evening events on an irregular basis. They don't advertise on their web site, so you just have to show up and see what's pouring. A nice way to casually sample good quality wines.

Why is every meet-up at the Andersons? Wouldn't it be a good idea to do this at different locations?

Hi Rick: Ryan is correct. Any of our 657 members can post information about wine venues or tasting events. As the Meetup organizer I would love to have more folks involved posting events. As soon as 3 folks RSVP for any suggested event, it is posted out to the entire group. Right now, this new event is on our calendar: best regards,

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
