Hello All! I have 11 JavaScript Developer openings at a company in Waltham.

This was OK. TDD talk was less about how TDD fits into the development flow with Backbone (as I had hoped) and more a talk about Jasmine (an overview of other tools and how they compare to Jasmine would have been nice). Domain Driven Design talk was interesting, but a little bit light on the backbone / JS side of things. It definitely got me interested in reading the Eric Evans book though. In the future, the organizers should consider moving this to a bigger space, or shrinking the RSVP limit. I was really uncomfortable and sort of stuck in a fetal position the whole time, I did not seem to be alone.

What, you don't LIKE sitting like a pretzel? Man, at the yoga studio I go to, you PAY for the priviledge...

Here are the links to the Bullsfirst Exchange and the Bullsfirst OMS domain models. As I mentioned yesterday, as we start understanding/formulating the Ubiquitous Language, we start to include it in the domain model in the form of diagrams and supplementary narrative:

Glad to be of help. I forgot to add one more link which talked about the methodology in general including the command-query pattern and layered architecture etc.:

I thought it was a bit presumptuous that the slides were in Javascript, rather than Coffeescript. I spent too much time trying to figure out what I was reading and not listening to the presenter. :( Otherwise, +1 to TDD / BDD!

Attending these things is a mixed blessing: I love seeing how Backbone is being used real-world, and I hate realizing how little I actually know... heh.

Where's the best place to park? Cheapest?

    March 27, 2013

    • Patrick C.

There's a parking garage off of Binney street by the Kendall Square movie theater, and street parking on Hampshire and Binney.
