Banff Mountain Film Festival Opening Night

What better way to celebrate my thru-hiker anniversary than to attend a mountain film festival! I started the Appalachian Trail on April 23rd 2007 so this marks my six year anniversary of becoming a thru-hiker.

(I hope it is cool that I am double-posting this up, as I am hosting this for my Microbrew Meetup. :^) So there will be some non-backpackers at the event.)

The one caveat about this though. Tickets go on sale on Friday 04/05 and generally sell out in about 3 days. So get your tickets this weekend! They will be on sale at REI and are less expensive for members. And get there early for better seats too. I plan on being there well before the start time, before the doors open. I'll bring a Meetup sign, but to find me you can also text or call 31five-77one-956three

Here are a couple photos of me at the end of my AT thru:

Anyone up for meeting at someplace nearby at 4 or 4:30? Just not the Backstage Bar as they don't open until 5 and we'll likely want to be keeping an eye on when to get in line by then. Also feel free to text me at 3one5-77one-95six3

Yeah, it sold out crazy early this year. I checked on Saturday evening and the downtown REI was already sold out. Glad I got a couple tickets to the Tuesday show on the first day they were on sale.

No I haven't tried that Valarie. I think I'll just leave it as is and go on Wednesday. Enjoy the show!

We did get our tickets for Tuesday evening already. Did you try calling the other REI's to see if they had tickets for Tuesday? I picked up our tickets at Bridgeport.

Did you all purchase tickets already? I tried to swap my Wednesday ticket for a Tuesday ticket at the NW REI so that I could go with you all, but Tuesday was already sold out.
