Been a while since you've played badminton and ready to shake off some rust but don't know anyone to play with? That's where we come in. We schedule regular meetups at local badminton gyms. At the gyms we sign up on the free courts and play games with each other until we're tired. (And if all that exercise works up an appetite, we often go grab a bite together after the games.)
Most gyms cost $8 to enter, and have rackets available for sale or rental if you need them. We recommend you invest in a tube of shuttlecocks to bring with you. We tend to rotate whose shuttlecocks are in play so no one has to go through all of theirs in one meeting. Feather shuttlecocks are preferred.
We try to have a Meetup sign visible for newcomers so they can find us. Just ask around the courts if you don't see a sign.
While most players tend to be intermediate or advanced, there is room for beginners. Feel free to ask the group for pointers and exercises. You may find, however, that you'll learn a lot (techniques, strategies) from games with others.
