NOTE

Note: We normally don't do meetups on Fridays, but this was the only night we could get the venue and the presenter together at the same time. If you can't come specifically because it's on a Friday, please make sure to RSVP "NO" with a note so I know if it's ok or not to schedule Friday meetups

This was my favorite Lispniks meeting yet. Both talks were a lot of fun. It was great to see Scheme running on the iPad, and the Remote Agent project was something I have been fascinated with since before its launch back in the late 1990s. It was amazing to hear a first-hand account of that project. The very concept of a REPL running 250,000,000 miles from its user was mind-blowing!

Full disclosure: I was the host for the venue this time, so I'm biased.

Really enjoyed the presentations from two excellent speakers. Thanks to them, and also the group organizer and the Google host.

New to Lisp/Scheme, but this was an engaging meetup...

Very interesting talks with lots of good discussion. Well worth the effort to get to and in the Google building.

I enjoyed the meeting last night as well. I think it was the first time I met someone who wrote Common Lisp for living. Thank you Jay and Ron!

I'm still at work in SF. Looks like I missed this one. Happy Lisping! Catch y'all next time.

I am more than a little amazed at this campus too... I had heard rumors... But, they pale in comparison to the real thing.

So... I am a little bit early. Where is everyone else?

Look for the pale thin guy with black hair in a red jacket with combat boots on.

The room is called Kiev. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get in without an escort, but I'll try to have someone at the door for a while after 7pm so that we can bring you in. If you know you're going to be late, please let Nick know so that he can give you his phone number (or mine). (I don't want to post it here.)

Is there a room number or other designation just in case someone is late or will signs be posted?

Matthew I can give you a ride back to SF. Just remind me at the meeting

"How shall we recognize others in this group as there is only a Building No. given (40)?" Before the meeting, I'll be standing outside the door to greet you. We'll try to keep someone outside for a few more minutes, but if you're going to be late, please let Nick know.

This will be my first Lisp Meetup (nice to see the Google Campus up close, instead of through a Satellite photo).

I will be traveling by train down to Mountain View, but it would be nice to get a ride back to SF. Any chance that I might be able to beg, borrow or steal such a ride (speaking metaphorically of course. I would be willing to contribute to expenses)?

How shall we recognize others in this group as there is only a Building No. given (40)?

If you're not a Google employee, you'll have to be escorted in, so it would help if you could be on time. If you can't, get in touch with Nick by email so you can get his cell phone number. (I don't want to post mine here.)

I am not driving from the SF, but I will be driving from near 19th Street Oakland BART stop. I can give you a ride if you can get to that BART stop by 1630. I could get you directly back to SF afterwords

Yes. It's the east end of building 40, on Amphitheatre Parkway. Enter from either Amphitheatre or Charleston. There's parking right next to the circle. Meet at the circle.

Getting directions is easy: click the pushpin marker on the map, then click Directions.

Yes, the meeting will be in building 40. You can get to parking next to the building through either the driveway on Amphitheatre or the one on Charleston. The entrance to the building is on a tiny traffic circle at the east end of the building, next to the park. See you there!

I'm also interested to know if anyone's driving from SF. Cheers.
